Expression of CrebBb.UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4nSyb.PS in adults does not affect the increase in aversive olfactory 24 h memory observed when the recall environment better matches the training environment (presence of copper grid), compared to controls.

Expression of CrebBb.UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR13F02, in combination with a Gal80[ts] transgene to restrict expression to the adult stage, significantly reduces 24-hour associative olfactory water-reward memory, compared to controls, with no effect on 3-min or 3-hour memory.

Expression of CrebBb.UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4VT016811 or Scer\GAL4VT041043, in combination with a Gal80[ts] transgene to restrict expression to the 5-7 days of the adult stage immediately before, and the 24 h during, experimentation, does not significantly affect aversive olfactory long term memory in adults, compared to controls, when flies undergo spaced training.

1 day memory after spaced training is impaired, but learning is normal, in flies expressing CrebB-17Ab.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4c739.

Learning is impaired in flies expressing CrebB-17Ab.Scer\UAS under the control of either Scer\GAL4ey-OK107 or Scer\GAL4c247.

When the temperature sensitive Scer\GAL80ts.αTub84B allele is used to restrict Scer\GAL4 expression to the adult stage, memory retention after one training session and 1-day memory after spaced training are both normal in flies expressing CrebB-17Ab.Scer\UAS under the control of either Scer\GAL4ey-OK107, Scer\GAL4c739 or Scer\GAL4c247.

The α' lobe of the mushroom body is completely missing in flies expressing CrebB-17Ab.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4ey-OK107.

Flies expressing CrebB-17Ab.Scer\UAS under the control of either Scer\GAL4c739 or Scer\GAL4c247 have significantly fewer axons than normal and β lobe neurons occasionally cross the midline.

1 day memory is impaired after spaced training, but not after massed training in an olfactory associative conditioning assay in flies expressing CrebB-17Ab.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4G0431. The defect in memory after spaced training is still seen if the temperature sensitive Scer\GAL80ts.αTub84B allele is used to restrict Scer\GAL4 expression to the adult stage.

Expression of CrebB-17Ab.Scer\UAS in octopaminergic neurons, under the control of Scer\GAL4Tdc2.PC, suppresses the increase in octopamine-induced synaptopod formation.

Expression of CrebB-17Ab.Scer\UAS in α/β mushroom body neurons, under the control of Scer\GAL4c739, impairs long-term memory.

Expression of CrebB-17Ab.Scer\UAS in α/β mushroom body neurons, under the control of Scer\GAL4c739 has no effect on 3 minute memory after 1x forward conditioning.
