Flies expressing UbpydsRNA.2.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4P2.4.Pdf consistently have a long locomotor activity period (approximately 1 hour longer than control flies).
Expression of UbpydsRNA.2.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4tim.PE results in premature mortality. 50% of flies in which expression of UbpydsRNA.2.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4tim.PE is limited to the adult stage (using the temperature sensitive Scer\GAL80ts.αTub84B allele to limit expression) show rhythmic locomotor activity. The rhythmic flies have long periods, on average 1 hour longer than those of controls.
Expression of UbpydsRNA.2.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4sd.PU causes loss of wing margin bristles.
