UAS regulatory sequences drive expression of a short inverted repeat.
Expression of RhoGAP71EHMS00412 under the control of Scer\GAL4mat.αTub67C.T:Hsim\VP16 results in an abnormally shaped ventral furrow during embryogenesis. In some cases the cellularization (which precedes ventral furrow formation) is disrupted and furrow canals prematurely constrict and embryos that proceed through cellularization exhibit delayed or completely blocked furrow invagination. Basal expansion and tissue invagination, however, is normal. RhoGAP71EHMS00412 expression also disrupts pulsatile contractions and lowers the maximum constriction rate of embryonic cells.
