FlyBase curator comment: amino acid replacement Q455term (rather than G455term reported in paper) inferred from sequence and very small likelihood of reported amino acid change occurring.
Amino acid replacement: Q455term.

G455term
Site of nucleotide substitution in mutant inferred by FlyBase based on reported amino acid change. The reported location of G455term appears to be a typo for Q455term.
ltl2/ltl3 larvae have a pronounced bloated phenotype, with a translucent, edemic appearance. This results in pupal lethality. The phenotype can be readily rescued by allowing the hemolymph to drain through a small incision in the larval cuticle.
ltl2/ltl4 animals survive to adulthood and have wing defects including subtle modifications of wing size and shape, along with ectopic vein material associated with wing vein L2 and the anterior and posterior crossveins.
Homozygous clones in the wing induced in a Minute background show a consistent reduction in size, variable effects on shape and highly penetrant defects in the patterning of vein L2 and the posterior crossvein.
