      Over-expression of lkb1GS11006 in the developing wing imaginal disc under the control of Scer\GAL4vg.M.Exel reduces the mean wing area by 7.4%, compared to wild-type flies.

      Over-expression of lkb1GS11006 in eye imaginal discs under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.long reduces the size of compound eyes.

      Over-expression of lkb1GS11006 in imaginal wing discs using the Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1 driver induces ectopic activation of AMPK along the border of the anterior/posterior compartments.

      The mean lifespan of female flies expressing lkb1GS11006 under the control of Scer\GAL4hs.PB at 25[o]C is increased by 6.5%. There is no affect in males.
