Overexpression of Hsap\UBBTn10\tetO.cHa under the control of Tn10\tetRAct5C.T:Hsim\VP16 results in lethality. The lethality caused by Hsap\UBBTn10\tetO.cHa-overexpression is associated with a dramatic disruption of normal pupal structures and large melanotic inclusions indicative of extensive cell death.
Overexpression of Hsap\UBBTn10\tetO.cHa under the control of Scer\GAL4da.G32 and Tn10\tetRM2.alt.Scer\UAS.T:Hsim\VP16 does not decrease the survival-rate in adults. Instead, overexpression of Hsap\UBB+1.Tn10\tetO results in a slight increase in male life span.
