Expression of PTPMT1^HMS02161 under the control of Scer\GAL4^Act5C.PU leads to tracheal blackening in third instar larvae.

Expression of PTPMT1^HMS02161 under the control of Scer\GAL4^btl.PS leads to tracheal blackening in second instar larvae.

First instar larvae expressing PTPMT1^HMS02161 under the control of Scer\GAL4^btl.PS fail to fill their trachea with air upon completion of molting.

Females heterozygous for Plip^HMS02161 and Scer\GAL4^{mat.αTub67C.T:Hsim\VP16} crossed to Plip^HMS02161 males results in: 56% hatching; non-maternal effect.
