      Expression via Scer\GAL4wor.PA and Scer\GAL80ase.PN prolongs the lifetime and prevents shrinkage of pupal neuroblasts (NBs) without having any obvious effects on larval NBs.

      Expression via Scer\GAL4insc-Mz1407 results in lower NADH levels in larval and pupal brains, but overall energy/ATP levels are unchanged. Lactate levels are reduced in larvae and increased in pupae, effectively reducing the difference between the two stages, whereas lactate levels strongly decrease from larval to pupal stages in wild type.
