Inhibition (using Hsap\KCNJ2^UAS.EGFP) of the combined set of the Scer\FLP1^276B subset (with excised Scer\GAL80^αTub84B.PG) of Scer\GAL4^0098-G4 cells and the Scer\GAL4^VT005008 cells, in combination with a Gal80[ts] transgene to restrict expression to the adult stage, in females does not significantly affect proboscis extension in response to bitter solution, but does significantly increase bitter solution consumption, compared to controls, to a similar extent as inactivation of Scer\FLP1^276B-expressing Scer\GAL4^0098-G4 cells alone.
