UAS regulatory sequences drive expression of Afun\CYP6P9a.
Flies expressing Zzzz\CYP6P9aScer\UAS.cRa ubiquitously under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PI show increased resistance to the pyrethoid insecticides deltamethrin (type II) and permethrin (type I). Some resistance is also seen when Zzzz\CYP6P9aScer\UAS.cRa is expressed using the tissue-specific driver Scer\GAL4Cyp6g1.HR, but no significant difference in mortality rate is seen with permethrin.
