AlphaFold produces a per-residue confidence score (pLDDT) between 0 and 100. Some regions with low pLDDT may be unstructured in isolation.

The testis specificity index was calculated from modENCODE tissue expression data by Vedelek et al., 2018 to indicate the degree of testis enrichment compared to other tissues. Scores range from -2.52 (underrepresented) to 5.2 (very high testis bias).

Please Note This section lists cDNAs and ESTs that fall within the genomic extent of the gene model, which may include cDNAs and ESTs of genes within introns, or of overlapping genes. Please see JBrowse for alignment of the cDNAs and ESTs to the gene model.
For each fully sequenced cDNA the DGRC maintains various forms of the cDNA (e.g tagged or untagged) in several different host vectors for subsequent cloning and expression in Drosophila and Drosophila cell lines.

It is suggested that the 1.7kb transcript encoded by "Csat" may be the product of the "l(1)3Bb" locus, though this question has not been experimentally addressed.

FBgn0024994 was previously called 'Csat', which presumably indicated "CMP-sialic acid transporter", based on GenBank AF397530 (FBrf0138688). However, this nomenclature was misleading as FBrf0141524 demonstrated that this gene product does not transport sialic acid. FBrf0141524 used the symbol 'UGT' for this gene, but it would be confusing to use this symbol in FlyBase because 'Ugt' is the standard prefix for several 'UDP-glycosyltransferase' genes; morevover, 'Ugt' was previously (incorrectly) used as the FlyBase symbol for the 'Uggt' (FBgn0014075) gene. Thus, the symbol 'Ugalt' has been assigned to FBgn0024994.
