AlphaFold produces a per-residue confidence score (pLDDT) between 0 and 100. Some regions with low pLDDT may be unstructured in isolation.
Low-frequency RNA-Seq exon junction(s) not annotated.

The testis specificity index was calculated from modENCODE tissue expression data by Vedelek et al., 2018 to indicate the degree of testis enrichment compared to other tissues. Scores range from -2.52 (underrepresented) to 5.2 (very high testis bias).
tnc transcripts are detected in cardioblasts of stage 16 embryos and also in the trachea, hindgut and anal pad.
tnc is expressed in dissected brains and imaginal discs from third instar larvae. In the brain, tenectin transcript is expressed in voluminous cells of thoracic and abdominal ganglia and in small cells of the optic lobes corresponding to the lamina region. It is expressed in the eye-antennal, leg, male genital, and wing discs. In the eye disc, expression is localized anterior to the morphogenetic furrow. In the male genital disc, expression is ofund in the regions derived from A8 and A9. In the wing disc, it is strongly expressed in the wing hinge and the notum.
tnc protein is detected in embryonic epithelial organs. It is most prominent in the hindgut where it localizes to the lumen. It is also seen in the lumen of the foregut, proventriculus, salivary gland ducts, and the tracheal dorsal trunks. It is observed in the lumen of the dorsal vessel at late stage 16.
tnc protein is localized to the entire neuropil of the CNS. Later, it is found at the surface of the two prepupal wing layers.

Please Note This section lists cDNAs and ESTs that fall within the genomic extent of the gene model, which may include cDNAs and ESTs of genes within introns, or of overlapping genes. Please see JBrowse for alignment of the cDNAs and ESTs to the gene model.
For each fully sequenced cDNA the DGRC maintains various forms of the cDNA (e.g tagged or untagged) in several different host vectors for subsequent cloning and expression in Drosophila and Drosophila cell lines.
