The testis specificity index was calculated from modENCODE tissue expression data by Vedelek et al., 2018 to indicate the degree of testis enrichment compared to other tissues. Scores range from -2.52 (underrepresented) to 5.2 (very high testis bias).
Comment: reported as dorsal epidermis anlage
CG13653 is expressed at embryonic stage 5 in a stripe of 5-8 dorsal cells extending along the midline of the embryo. In early gastrula embryos, expression is in a 5-7 cell-wide dorsal longitudinal stripe encompassing the amnioserosa anlage and the head midline ectoderm. In stages 6-7, the expression stripe widens and becomes more irregular between the cephalic and posterior furrows due to the formation of the transverse furrows. Faint staining is seen in stage 8 in amnioserosa cells and in the head midline ectoderm and finally becomes restricted to the procephalic lobe.

Please Note This section lists cDNAs and ESTs that fall within the genomic extent of the gene model, which may include cDNAs and ESTs of genes within introns, or of overlapping genes. Please see JBrowse for alignment of the cDNAs and ESTs to the gene model.
For each fully sequenced cDNA the DGRC maintains various forms of the cDNA (e.g tagged or untagged) in several different host vectors for subsequent cloning and expression in Drosophila and Drosophila cell lines.
