AlphaFold produces a per-residue confidence score (pLDDT) between 0 and 100. Some regions with low pLDDT may be unstructured in isolation.
Gene model includes transcripts encoding non-overlapping portions of the full CDS.

The testis specificity index was calculated from modENCODE tissue expression data by Vedelek et al., 2018 to indicate the degree of testis enrichment compared to other tissues. Scores range from -2.52 (underrepresented) to 5.2 (very high testis bias).

Please Note This section lists cDNAs and ESTs that fall within the genomic extent of the gene model, which may include cDNAs and ESTs of genes within introns, or of overlapping genes. Please see JBrowse for alignment of the cDNAs and ESTs to the gene model.
For each fully sequenced cDNA the DGRC maintains various forms of the cDNA (e.g tagged or untagged) in several different host vectors for subsequent cloning and expression in Drosophila and Drosophila cell lines.
Identification: in an expression library screen using monoclonal antibody 2A (mAb2A).
Skeletor encodes a novel nuclear matrix protein, identified using monoclonal antibody 2A (mAb2A).

Annotations CG33676 and CG14681 (which were previously annotated as two non-overlapping open reading frames of a dicistronic transcript) merged as a single annotation (CG43161) in release 5.33 of the genome annotation.
Dicistronic annotation CG32922 split out into separate annotations for each open reading frame, CG14681 and CG33676, in release 4.2 of the genome annotation.
The locus encoding Skeletor is a complex locus that produces two mRNAs by alternative splicing (6.5kb and 1.6 kb). The larger of the mRNAs may have bicistronic coding potential. The 5' region of the first open reading frame "ORF1" is included in both the larger and smaller transcripts; in the shorter transcript this "ORF1a" conceptually translates to give a 32kD protein, and a 32kD protein has been detected by Western blot analysis, while in the longer transcript an "ORF1b" which conceptually translates to give an 85kD protein is predicted (however a protein of this predicted size has not been detected by Western blot analysis). The second open reading frame in the longer transcript ("ORF2") contains the sequence originally identified by the mAb2A Skeletor antibody and is predicted to produce a 81kD protein (a product of this size is detected by Western blot analysis).
