Fragment encoding the C-terminal end of Homo sapiens CD63 gene (HGNC:1692) encoding a tetraspanin that localizes to internal vesicles of multivesicular endosomes and is released on exosomes. Proteins tagged with this sequence therefore localize to exosomes (see FBrf0186204, FBrf0246499, PMID:26858453).
