UAS regulatory sequences drive expression of a synthetic version of Antp which lacks the N-terminal domain. The protein consists of the YPWM motif and the homeodomain, followed by a truncated C-terminal domain (lacking the terminal 14 residues). The naturally occurring short linker (4 amino acid residues) is present between the YPWM motif and the homeodomain. A EGFP tag has been fused to the C-terminal end of the protein.
