A conserved DNA sequence cluster from the nab gene (length: 1012bp, conserved bases: 369bp) is fused upstream of a minimal Hsp70 promoter driving expression of the GAL4 open reading frame.

Reference

ScerGAL4nab.1 activates expression in a subset of neuroblasts during late sub-lineage development. Expression is also driven in neuroblasts of the larval brain lobes and thoracic segments of the ventral nerve cord, and in neurons whose bodies reside in the calyx of the adult mushroom body, and in a subset of neurons in the adult subesophageal ganglion.
