ScerGAL4Rab27.ORF drives expression in many neurons and possibly glia in the larval brain. In the pupal and adult, expression in the brain is restricted to a few central neurons, including the mushroom bodies. Expression in the adult mushroom body is stronger than in the pupal one.

The PBac{I-SceI(FRT.Rab27-GAL4.ORF(loxP.3xP3-RFP))} vector can be used both as a driver expressing Scer\GAL4 under the control of the Rab27 regulatory sequences present in the construct and also as a donor construct for ends-out homologous recombination at the endogenous Rab27 locus.
