UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of a fusion protein that consists of the Hsap\NCOA4 coiled-coil domain followed by the Hsap\RET tyrosine kinase domain. This fusion protein is associated with the solid subtype of papillary thyroid carcinoma in humans.
