The amino acid numbering differs between FBrf0108244 and the reference sequence. The positions and nature of the base substitutions in the mutants are derived from the sequence in Fig. 1 and from Table 1, and provide unambiguous assignments.
adult abdomen & endocuticle (with haync2)
macrochaeta (with haync2)
microchaeta (with haync2)
wing margin (with haync2)
haync2rv1/+ mutants do not show any changes in the number of cells in mitosis in the third instar larval wing discs compared to wild-type controls.
haync2/haync2rv1 animals show 47.9% viability. 19.9% of haync2/haync2rv1 adults have deformed and fragile macrochaetae and microchaetae, 21.5% have a reduction of the endocuticular layer of the abdominal cuticle and 14.3% show loss of wing marginal regions and blistered wings. One copy of hayTTD.Hsp83 or hayXPCS.Hsp83 decreases the viability of haync2/haync2rv1 flies dramatically.
Lethal over deficiency of hay. Heterozygotes exhibit defects in the structure and function of the male meiotic spindle.
recessive larval lethal
hay[+]/haync2rv1, hfpEP3058 has increased body size | third instar larval stage phenotype, suppressible | partially by Scer\GAL4arm.PU
hay[+]/haync2rv1, hfpEP3058 has increased body size | third instar larval stage phenotype, suppressible by MycP0
hay[+]/haync2rv1, hfpEP3058 has abnormal cell cycle | third instar larval stage phenotype, suppressible by Myc[+]/MycG0354
hay[+]/haync2rv1 is an enhancer of increased body size | third instar larval stage phenotype of hfpEP3058
hay[+]/haync2rv1 is an enhancer of increased occurrence of cell division | third instar larval stage phenotype of hfpEP3058
hay[+]/haync2rv1 is a suppressor of decreased body size | third instar larval stage phenotype of MycP0
hay[+]/haync2rv1 is a suppressor of visible phenotype of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096, p53GUS.PB
hay[+]/haync2rv1, hfpEP3058 has wing disc | third instar larval stage phenotype, suppressible by MycG0354
hay[+]/haync2rv1 is an enhancer of wing disc | third instar larval stage phenotype of hfpEP3058
hay[+]/haync2rv1 is a suppressor of wing phenotype of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096, p53GUS.PB
The large body size as well as the elevated proliferation rate in the wing disc characteristic for the hfpEP3058/hfpEP3058 third instar larvae is further increased by combination with haync2rv1 in heterozygous state. The increased body size of hfpEP3058/hfpEP3058;haync2rv1/+ larvae can be partially suppressed by driving driving hfp expression from the UAS included in the hfpEP3058 P-element insertion allele under the control of the Scer\GAL4arm.PU driver.
The severe body overgrowth seen in hfpEP3058/hfpEP3058;haync2rv1/+ third instar larvae can be rescued by combination with MycP0 in heterozygous state.
The small body size characteristic for MycP0/+ third instar larvae can be suppressed by combination with haync2rv1 in heterozygous state.
The severe body overgrowth seen in hfpEP3058/hfpEP3058;haync2rv1/+ third instar larvae can be rescued by combination with MycP0 in heterozygous state and the increased number of mitotic cells can be suppressed by combination with MycG0354/+.
haync2rv1/+;MycG0354/+ double heterozygotes do not show significant changes in the number of mitotic cells in the third instar larval wing disc compared to controls.
The wing defects caused by expression of p53GUS.PB under the control of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 are completely suppressed by haync2rv1/+.
