Description

The insertion site of P{PZ}rols08232 maps to within 289bp of the transcriptional start of CG6793, which is located within a 26Kb intron of rols.

P{PZ} insertion in an intron shared by both the putative rols transcripts.

Detailed Description

Reference

While a wild-type DA1 myotube has an average of 15 nuclei at stage 15 (n = 70), its equivalent in embryos homozygous for rols08232 has an average of just 4 (n = 125).

Muscle number is reduced in homozygous embryos and many unfused myoblasts are seen. The pharynx shows fusion defects. Apodeme formation appears normal in mutant embryos.
