Detailed Description
Statement
Reference

Heterozygotes lack most of the wing margin and much of the wing blade.

Compound egg chambers and a multilayered organisation of follicle cells are seen in mutant ovaries at stage 7-8, at a low frequency (approximately 2%).

Heterozygous flies show scalloping of the wing.

Loss of normal wing margin, and a significant reduction in wing size.

The loss of wing margin and wing blade seen in fngD4/+ flies is partially rescued by heph03429. The loss of wing margin seen in fngD4/+ flies is partially rescued by NAx-1.

The wing scalloping phenotype of fngD4 heterozygotes is suppressed by NAx-M1.

Ectopic wing margin is formed in both dorsal and ventral cells of the wing when DlScer\UAS.cDa is expressed using Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1 in a fngD4 background.
