The absence of midline glia (MG) in rlunspecified embryos is suppressed by Wunspecified/Wunspecified, although the resulting cells are mislocated, lying directly below the cuticle, often in clusters of up to 20 cells. Approximately twice as many MG cells survive as in wild-type.
The eye size of rlunspecified flies is reduced in various combinations with Su(var)2-11, Su(var)2-1213, Su(var)2-1214, Su(var)2-1216, Su(var)205unspecified or Su(var)208unspecified. The effects are generally more pronounced in females and by and large appear to be additive.
