Description

The klg ORF is entirely deleted in the klgE226 mutation, although the 3' end of the deletion has not been determined.

Imprecise excision of the P{HZ} element, resulting in a deletion (extending in both directions from the site of the P{HZ} element insertion) that removes the entire klg open reading frame.

Detailed Description
Statement
Reference

1-day memory after spaced training is disrupted in klgGS10439/klgE226 and klgruslan/klgE226 flies.

Homozygotes die as second instar larvae. The overall structure of the embryonic central nervous system develops normally. Homozygous clones in the eye show no alteration in the number or morphology of the photoreceptors.
