Description

UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of RhoL that carries the amino acid replacement G20V. This is expected to result in a constitutively active protein (the mutation is equivalent to the change found in oncogenic Ras, which has been shown to interfere with GTPase activity and maintain the protein in its GTP-bound state).

Expression of RhoLV20.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PU (using tub-Gal80[ts] to limit the expression to the adult stage) does not significantly alter 3 hr memory of adult flies in an aversive olfactory assay compared to controls.

Expression of RhoLV20.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4gcm-rA87.P or Scer\GAL4da.G32 does not interfere with macrophage migration in the embryo.

RhoLV20.Scer\UAS when driven by Scer\GAL4nos.UTR.T:Hsim\VP16 has no effect on transepithelial migration of germ cells in the embryo.
