Detailed Description

Nop60Bk05318 mutant clones in the wing disc are much smaller or completely missing compared to control clones. In a minute background, clones are recovered in the larval wing disc of a similar size to control clones, but mutant clones are much reduced in size compared to control clones in the adult wing. Cell disorganisation is observed in mutant wing tissue.

Homozygotes mainly die as first instar larvae. They fail to increase their size compared to control siblings and remain as first instar larvae for an additional 4-5 days.

Comments

Expression of Nop60Bhs.PG using heat shock rescues 30% of Nop60Bk05318 animals to the pupal stage. The rescued animals develop synchronously with their control siblings and show a normal increase in size.
