Embryos derived from homozygous females are dorsalised. Embryos show a dominant haplo-insufficient temperature sensitive phenotype of partial dorsalisation.
dlunspecified has embryonic epidermis phenotype, enhanceable by Taf1S-625
dlunspecified has embryonic/first instar larval cuticle phenotype, enhanceable by Taf1S-625
dlunspecified has embryonic epidermis phenotype, enhanceable by Taf1XS-2232
dlunspecified has embryonic/first instar larval cuticle phenotype, enhanceable by Taf1XS-2232
dlunspecified, gd8 has embryo phenotype
The addition of dlS234P in a dlunspecified, gd8 double null background, produces completely lateralised embryos.
When Taf1XS-2232 or Taf1S-625 is added to dlunspecified/+ sensitized embryos they exhibit a dorsalised and twisted body pattern.
dlunspecified is rescued by dl25.Venus
dlunspecified is rescued by dl+mWT
dlunspecified is rescued by dlHsp83.PG
dlunspecified is not rescued by dlΔNLS
dlunspecified is not rescued by dlΔNLS.Hsp83
Addition of dl+mWT into a dlunspecified null background rescue of the dorsalisation phenotype seen in dlunspecified embryos. Addition of dlΔNLS into a homozygous dlunspecified null background leads to embryos that are strongly, but not completely dorsalised. If a single copy of dlΔNLS is inserted into heterozygous dlunspecified females, they were sterile and produced weakly dorsalised embryos. One copy of dlS234P in a dlunspecified null background produces lateralised embryos.
