The percentage of dl25.Venus intensity (as visualized by two-photon scanned light-sheet microscopy) localized to the nucleus increases during each nuclear cycle from embryonic cycles 11 to 14, then falls at the end of the cycle. This pattern can be explained by the nuclei filling with Dorsal-Venus relatively slowly throughout each nuclear cycle interphase, then rapidly equilibrating with the cytoplasm when the nuclear envelopes break down at the beginning of mitosis.
