The A8 segment forms normally but exhibits abnormal morphogenesis. Posterior spiracles are not formed and the A8 denticle belt does not differentiate properly, most of the cuticle is naked. Denticles that do form are less pigmented than normal denticles. Mutants have abnormal mouthparts and a general disarray of the polarity of denticles. Anal pads are not formed but the tuft is present. Hind gut has abnormal development.
linG1 is a suppressor of embryonic/larval posterior spiracle | ectopic phenotype of Abd-BUAS.cCa, Scer\GAL469B
Scer\GAL469B-mediated expression of Abd-BScer\UAS.cCa in linG1 mutants does not cause ectopic posterior spiracles development in the trunk segments.
