ventral nerve cord commissures in stage 17 hh^EP3521; Scer\GAL4^sca-4512 embryos are fused and/or 'fuzzy'.

Expression of hh^EP3521 under the control of Scer\GAL4^ey.PH results in eyes that are somewhat reduced in size. Flies expressing hh^EP3521 under the control of Scer\GAL4^hs.2sev have wild-type eyes. Flies expressing hh^EP3521 under the control of Scer\GAL4^en-e16E have wild-type wings.

Expression of hh^EP3521 under the control of Scer\GAL4^sca-537.4 results in additional scutellar macrochaetae and short and thickened shaft morphology.
