Expression of dppEP2232 under the control of Scer\GAL4nos.UTR.T:Hsim\VP16 (the animals are initially raised at 18oC and are then shifted to 29oC after 7 days) causes spermatogonia to continue mitotic proliferation at the expense of differentiation. This defect is seen in at least 50% of testes examined. Most of the early germ cells are clustered into cysts and are surrounded by somatic cyst cells.

ventral nerve cord commissures in stage 17 dppEP2232; Scer\GAL4sca-4512 embryos are fused and the longitudinal connectives are reduced in thickness.

Expression of dppEP2232 under the control of Scer\GAL4ey.PH results in eyes that are strongly reduced in size.

Overexpression of dppEP2232 under the control of Scer\GAL4bi-omb-Gal4 results in defects in wing growth and wing vein pattern.

pnrMD237/+ adults expressing dppEP2232 under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 have a strong thoracic cleft and a reduced scutellum.

Co-expression of CycEScer\UAS.cLa does not suppress the small eye phenotype caused by expression of dppEP2232 under the control of Scer\GAL4ey.PH.
