When Su(H)Scer\UAS.cKa is driven by Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237, an absence of sensory organs in the medial region of the notum is seen.

When Su(H)Scer\UAS.cKa is driven by Scer\GAL4dpp.blk1, a gap or distal deletion is seen in wing vein L3.

Wings from flies expressing Su(H)Scer\UAS.cKa under the control of Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1 have outgrowths in the proximal region of the wing. When the wing disc is examined areas of ectopic growth are seen at the periphery. When Su(H)Scer\UAS.cKa is driven by Scer\GAL4dpp.blk1 the distal L3 wing vein is eliminated.

When expression is driven by Scer\GAL4klu-G410 in a wild type background nearly all neural precursors are lost and derived bristles in the notum and wing margin are consequently missing (although proneural gene expression is initially normal in the discs). When expression is driven by Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1 in a wild type background the wing disc shows an overgrowth phenotype similar to that caused by overexpression of Dl or 'intra' forms of N.

The addition of freddsRNA.Scer\UAS to Su(H)Scer\UAS.cKa, Su(H)Scer\UAS.cKa animals has no effect on the Su(H)Scer\UAS.cKa phenotype. The cell death phenotype seen in Su(H)Scer\UAS.cKa animals is however, alleviated by Su(H)Scer\UAS.cKa expression.

When Bx42dsRNA.Scer\UAS and Su(H)Scer\UAS.cKa are driven by Scer\GAL4dpp.blk1 a wing overgrowth phenotype is seen.

The addition of N55e11 to Su(H)Scer\UAS.cKa, Scer\GAL4dpp.blk1 or Su(H)Scer\UAS.cKa, Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1 flies leads to a strong enhancement of the wing nicking phenotype. The addition of HScer\UAS.cHa to Su(H)Scer\UAS.cKa, Scer\GAL4dpp.blk1 flies greatly enhances the wing nick phenotype seen in Su(H)Scer\UAS.cKa, Scer\GAL4dpp.blk1 flies alone. The size of the wing is greatly reduced.
