A deletion starting at nucleotide 47 of the predicted Rheb transcript (ATG is at 327 by this numbering) and ending in the downstream gene CRMP at nucleotide 12 (ATG is at 154 by this numbering), resulting from imprecise excision of P{GS}Rheb^GSjE2. (deletion is 128284-130496 by the numbering of GenBank:AE003602.3).

Rheb^PΔ1/Rheb^PΔ2 animals survive embryogenesis, but larval development arrests in the first instar, and the animals die approximately 6 days after hatching. These larvae are able to eat: they have food in their guts.
