      Expression of gftScer\UAS.cMa under the control of Scer\GAL4dpp.blk1 results in an anterior shift of wing vein L4, thickening of the anterior crossvein and loss of campaniform sensilla in the wing. The normal distal orientation of the trichomes on the wing is disrupted. Expression of gftScer\UAS.cMa under the control of Scer\GAL4sca-4512 results in a severe loss of macrochaetae throughout the notum and scutellum and also loss of campaniform sensilla and anterior margin bristles in the wing.
