Detailed Description
Statement
Reference

Heterozygotes have a Minute bristle phenotype. RpL382b1/RpL382b2 animals die either as embryos or soon after hatching.

Heterozygous adults eclose with a delay of about a day compared to control flies and have a medium Minute bristle phenotype. Wing area is increased in heterozygous adults compared to controls, due to an increase in cell size (without any effect on the total number of cells in the wing). RpL382b1/RpL38NC21 animals show 2% viability and have a strong Minute small-bristle phenotype. These animals also show extra venation on the wing and wing hair polarity is often disorganised.

Additional Comments
Genetic Interactions
Statement
Reference

The eye phenotype seen in homozygous CycEJP adults is suppressed by RpL382b1.

RpL382b1 dominantly enhances the small wing phenotype caused by expression of argosScer\UAS.cMa under the control of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096, but does not enhance the argosScer\UAS.cMa ; Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 wing vein loss phenotype.
