Expression of ThorT37A.T46A.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4en-e16E results in a reduction in total wing area compared to control flies. A reduction in area of both the wing compartment expressing the ThorT37A.T46A.Scer\UAS transgene and the neighbouring, non-expressing wing compartment is seen.

An increase in the number of TUNEL-positive cells is seen in the territory of ThorT37A.T46A.Scer\UAS expression in wing discs expressing ThorT37A.T46A.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4en-e16E, as well as in adjacent cells that are not expressing ThorT37A.T46A.Scer\UAS.

Ectopic overexpression of ThorT37A.T46A.Scer\UAS, under the control of Scer\GAL4unspecified in the wing disc does not cause any reduction or growth in final wing size. Flies expressing ThorT37A.T46A.Scer\UAS, under the control of Scer\GAL4unspecified have elevated levels of body fat compared with control flies, even when normalised to total body protein.

Expression of ThorT37A.T46A.Scer\UAS dramatically suppresses the dendrite pruning defects seen in ddaC neurons expressing lin19GD9650 under the control of Scer\GAL4ppk.PG at 16 hours after pupariation.

Expression of ThorT37A.T46A.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4ppk.PG fully strongly suppresses the dendrite pruning defects seen in lin19EX mutant ddaC neuron clones at 16 hours after puparium formation. No difference is seen at the white prepupal stage.
