Comments

Nc+t.drf rescues the partially lethality of Nc51/Nc51 homozygotes with a few animals rescued to adulthood and up to 50% reaching the pharate adult stage. The delays in larval moults seen in Nc51/Nc51 animals are also partially rescued by this transgene.

"CG6685[4]" animals (Df(3L)NcZ homozygotes in which Nc function, but not CG6685 function, is rescued by homozygosity for P{drf}) show late larval lethality with melanotic tumours.

32.67% of the expected number of Df(3L)NcZ homozygotes which carry both P{drf} and P{CG6685+tDa} survive to eclosion. The remaining noneclosed animals develop to an advanced pharate adult stage.
