Scer\GAL4Mef2.PU-mediated expression of CG8334GD5871 results in a normal appearance of mitochondria in adult indirect flight muscles. Mitochondrial membrane potential in Scer\GAL4tub.PU CG8334GD5871 flies is normal, and 2-week-old adult flies show no defects in climbing ability.

No phenotype is observed when CG8334GD5871 is expressed using Scer\GAL4sqh.PW or Scer\GAL4elav.PU.

Expression of CG8334GD5871 under the control of Scer\GAL4bbg-C96 does not result in a wing phenotype.

Expression of CG8334GD5871 under the control of Scer\GAL4dpp.PU does not result in a bristle phenotype.

Adults expressing Usp32GD5871 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) do not show a significant defect in avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.
