Expression of PTPMT1GD4965 under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PU leads to increased mortality during development. Specifically, expression of RNAi 1 leads to larval and pupal lethality (none survives to adulthood) while expression of RNAi 2 leads to some pupal lethality with some adult survivors.

Expression of PTPMT1GD4965 under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PU leads to tracheal blackening in adults and in third instar larvae.

Expression of PTPMT1GD4965 under the control of Scer\GAL4btl.PS leads to tracheal blackening in second instar larvae.

First instar larvae expressing PTPMT1GD4965 under the control of Scer\GAL4btl.PS fail to fill their trachea with air upon completion of molting.

Third instar larvae expressing PTPMT1GD4965 under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PU or Scer\GAL4btl.PS exhibit tracheal lumina filled with unidentifiable membranous materials and large electron-dense regions between the tracheal cuticle and the tracheal epithelial cells.

Expression of PTPMT1GD4965 under the control of Scer\GAL4btl.PS leads to mitochondrial aggregates (enlarged mito-GFP puncta) in tracheal cells of first instar larvae just prior to molting and recently molted second instars. A third instar larva exhibit individual mitochondria with intact crista structure aggregated in a tracheal cell.

Expression of PlipGD4965 under the control of Scer\GAL4ninaE.PT has no phenotypic effect on outer photoreceptor cells.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL41407 results in loss of neuroblasts in the larval brain associated with increased size of the remaining neuroblasts.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL41407 results in shorter neuroblast lineages (less daughter cells per neuroblast) in the larval brain compared to controls.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL41407 results in mild defects in the shape of ganglion mother cells in the larval brain.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL41407 results in mild defects in the shape of neuroblasts in the larval brain.

Adults expressing PlipGD4965 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) do not show a significant defect in avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.

Depending on the insertion line used, expression under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.PR can result in a weak flyer phenotype.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 results in bristle morphology defects on the notum in 60-70% of the Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 expression domain.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 results in planar polarity defects in the orientation of bristles of the notum in 30-40% of the Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 expression domain.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 results in the absence of 40-50% of the Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237-expressing area of the notum.
