The expression of Sod1GD7385 under the control of Scer\GAL4C57 leads to decreased muscle contractility, associated with impaired larval locomotion, despite of no obvious changes in neuromuscular junction neurotransmission (i.e. EJP and mEJP amplitude, quantal content, burst duration and frequency, or intra-burst spike density).

Adults expressing SodGD7385 under the control of the cardioblast-specific Scer\GAL4tin.CΔ4 driver show significantly reduced survival on day 6 after a shift to 29[o]C compared to control flies.

Adults expressing SodGD7385 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) do not show a significant defect in avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.

Expression of SodGD7385 under the control of Scer\GAL4da.G32 results in a decrease in mean life span. Age related impairment in negative geotaxis is dramatically accelerated in these flies compared to controls.

Expression of SodGD7385 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155, Scer\GAL4188Y or Scer\GAL4how-24B results in a small but statistically discernible decrease in life span compared to controls.

Expression of SodGD7385 under the control of Scer\GAL4Appl.G1a, Scer\GAL491Y or Scer\GAL4Mef2.PR has no significant effect on life span.

Expression of SodGD7385 under the control of Scer\GAL4188Y subtly but significantly impairs negative geotaxis across age relative to controls.

Expression of SodGD7385 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155, Scer\GAL4Appl.G1a, Scer\GAL491Y or Scer\GAL4how-24B has no effect on age related impairment in negative geotaxis.

Expression of SodGD7385 under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.PR results in a subtle but statistically discernible acceleration of age related impairment in negative geotaxis compared to controls.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 results in bristle morphology defects on the notum in 0% or 10-20% of the Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 expression domain, depending on the insertion line used.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 results in planar polarity defects in the orientation of bristles of the notum in 0% or 20-30% of the Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 expression domain, depending on the insertion line used.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 results in the absence of 0% or 0-10% of the Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237-expressing area of the notum, depending on the insertion line used.

Co-expression of SodGD7385 and Sod2GD14064 in nonmyocytic pericardial cells, under the control of Scer\GAL4Dot.PK results in an abnormal heart rhythm, with an increased frequency of irregular beats, a broader distribution of HPs and significantly increased the arrhythmia index. There is significant cardiac narrowing, with significant reductions in both the diastolic and systolic diameters of young and old flies compared with control flies.
