Expression of Tap42GD8900 under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PI causes complete lethality.

Expression of Tap42GD8900 under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.long does not lead to any apparent defect in the compound eye.

Expression of Tap42GD8900 under the control of Scer\GAL4dpp.blk1 does not lead to any apparent phenotype.

Expression of Tap42GD8900 under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 results in reduced survival rate to adulthood, and survivors display a marked thorax cleft, but no wing defects, as compared to controls.

Expression of Tap42GD8900 under the control of Scer\GAL4ap-md544 results in reduced survival rate to adulthood, and survivors display varying degrees of a cleft thorax, completely shrivelled wings, and a subset of these flies display necrosis of the front leg joints, as compared to controls. The wing discs of flies expressing Tap42GD8900 under the control of Scer\GAL4ap-md544 show arrest of cell proliferation in the notum region, but no obvious changes in cell proliferation in the wing compartment; and also show increased apoptosis in the wing blade region, as compared to control wing discs.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL41407 results in shorter neuroblast lineages (less daughter cells per neuroblast) in the larval brain compared to controls.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL41407 results in extreme defects in the shape of ganglion mother cells in the larval brain.
