Expression of bazGD1384 under the control of Scer\GAL4ppk.PG does not interfere with the dendritic pruning in class IV dendritic arborizing neuron at the pupal stage.

Expression of bazGD1384 under the control of either Scer\GAL4slbo.2.6 or Scer\GAL4c306 results in incomplete border cell migration in some stage 10 egg chambers.

Expression of bazGD1384 under the control of Scer\GAL4T155 results in a disrupted follicle cell epithelium in stage 9 and 10 egg chambers: regions of the epithelium are thin or multilayered and follicle cells fail to retract over the oocyte in some cases.

Adults expressing bazGD1384 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) do not show a significant defect in avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 results in loss of bristles on the notum in 50-60% of the Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 expression domain.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 results in duplication of bristle hairs on the notum in 0-10% or 10-20% of the Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 expression domain, depending on the insertion line used.

Expression of bazGD1384 under the control of Scer\GAL4C57 in the muscles results in a reduction of postsynaptic F-actin at the larval neuromuscular junction. In addition, synaptic boutons are significantly reduced in number and show a significant increase in average volume compared to wild type.

Expression of bazGD1384 under the control of Scer\GAL4c306 results in mild border follicle cell detachment defects as well as border cell migration defects.

Expression of bazGD1384 under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237, results in missing macrochaetae, although this phenotype is mild.

The overproliferation of larval brain neuroblasts seen in l(2)gl1/l(2)gl4 animals is completely suppressed by expression of bazGD1384 under the control of Scer\GAL41407.

While expression of bazGD1384 alone, under the control of Scer\GAL4ey.PH and Scer\GAL4GMR.PF, does not lead to a significant eye phenotype, coexpression of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa with this transgene results in flies that have rough or necrotic eyes.

Coexpression of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa enhances the missing macrochaetae phenotype of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237>bazGD1384 flies.
