The expression of taiGD4265 under the control of Scer\GAL4221 results in a reduced dendritic arborization in third instar larval class I abdominal dorsal multidendritic ddaD and ddaE neurons, as compared to controls; expression under the control of Scer\GAL4ppk.PG, in combination with Dicer-2 for efficient RNAi, results in no obvious dendrite morphology defects in abdominal dorsal multidendritic ddaD neurons, as compared to controls.
Expression of taiGD4265 under the control of either Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1 or Scer\GAL4bab1-Pgal4-2 in the somatic cells of the germarium (using the temperature sensitive Scer\GAL80ts.αTub84B allele to restrict expression to the adult stage) results in supernumerary germline cells containing a single spectrosome.
