Expression of CG5110dsRNA.UASp under the control of Scer\GAL4sd.PU leads to ectopic wing veins.

Expression of CG5110dsRNA.Scer\UAS.P\T under the control of Scer\GAL4en-e16E, Scer\GAL4ap-md544 or Scer\GAL4sd-SG29.1 results in an ectopic wing vein phenotype. Expression of CG5110dsRNA.Scer\UAS.P\T under the control of Scer\GAL4ap-md544 results in a ballooned wing phenotype.

The penetrance of the ectopic wing phenotype caused by expression of CG5110dsRNA.Scer\UAS.P\T under the control of Scer\GAL4sd-SG29.1 is increased if the flies are also carrying Df(2L)ED1175.

Ectopic wing veins are formed in 69.5% of females when CG5110dsRNA.Scer\UAS.P\T is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4hs.PB using heat shock at 129 hours after egg laying (early pupal stage).
