    Detailed Description
    Statement
    Reference

Homozygotes eclose with a delay of approximately 36 ours, and 40-70% of the expected homozygotes are recovered (with a slight bias towards males). Homozygous females show a 20% reduction in dry weight.

bunA-149B/bunGE12327 males and females show a reduction in body weight compared to controls.

Homozygous and bunA-149B/bunGE12327 females show a reduction in ommatidia number and size compared to controls.

bunA-Q578X/bunGE12327 flies show ommatidial differentiation defects, especially around the equator, including under-rotated ommatidia, ommatidial fusions and cell fate transformations (with a low frequency, the R4 photoreceptor cell adopts the fate of the R3 cells and a few R7 cells transform to R1/R6 cells.
