The expression throughout development of CamKK109037 under the control of Scer\GAL4peb-GAL4 leads to pupal lethality; this expression only from 12h after puparium formation onwards (using Gal80[ts] for the temporal control of expression) leads to half of the adult large basiconic sensilla lacking spontaneous or evoked action potentials (i.e. activity).
The expression of CamKK109037 under the control of Scer\GAL4Orco.2.642.Hsim\VP22 leads to: a significant decrease in methyl acetate-evoked electrophysiological responses in ab2A neurons after previous exposure with ethyl acetate, but not after previous exposure with methyl hexanoate or in naive individuals, as compared to controls; a significant decrease in ethyl butyrate-evoked electrophysiological responses in ab2A neurons both in naive individuals or after previous exposure with ethyl butyrate, but not after previous exposure with methyl hexanoate, as compared to controls.
