The number of dendritic endpoints of dorsal dendritic arborisation neurons is reduced compared to controls in larvae expressing α-AdaptindsRNA.Scer\UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4109(2)80.

Expression of α-AdaptindsRNA.Scer\UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF disrupts rhabdomere development; individual rhabdomeres are smaller than normal and ill formed, the base of the rhabdomeres is distorted and the cell bodies of the photoreceptor cells show accumulation of membraneous structures.
