Detailed Description
Statement
Reference

Most Lfee adult eyes are smaller than wildtype. The eyes have a nick at the anterior border of the eye, and often extra hairs and rod-like tissue are observed in this region. Overgrowth of eye tissue is occasionally observed.

Lfee/Lrev6-3 trans-heterozygotes have smaller eyes than Lfee alone.

Additional Comments
Genetic Interactions
Statement
Reference

Eye size is restored in Df(1)os1/+; Lfee animals.

Eye size is almost restored to normal in Lfee; Stat92E06346/Stat92EF animals.

Expression of domeΔCYT.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4ey.PH in a Lfee mutant background restores eye size to normal.

Expression of upd1Scer\UAS.cZa under the control of Scer\GAL4ey.PH in a Lfee mutant background exacerbates the Lfee phenotype, resulting in eyeless heads.

Expression of CycEScer\UAS.cLa under the control of Scer\GAL4ey.PH in a Lfee mutant background does not restore eye size.

Expression of TorWT.Scer\UAS.T:Zzzz\FLAG under the control of Scer\GAL4ey.PH in a Lfee background enhances the reduction in eye size observed in Lfee animals.

Lfee; S6k07084/+ flies have a reduced eye size compared to Lfee flies.

Expression of dmScer\UAS.cZa under the control of Scer\GAL4ey.PH in a Lfee background significantly restores eye size.

The reduced eye size of Lfee flies is not restored by hhbar3/+.

Xenogenetic Interactions
Statement
Reference

Expression of Hsap\CDKN1AScer\UAS.cHa under the control of Scer\GAL4ey.PH in a Lfee mutant background does not restore eye size, and flies have small eyes.
