UASt sequences drive expression of a Listericin cDNA.
Expression of ListericinScer\UAS.cGa using Scer\GAL4Cg.PA increases the survival rate against L. monocytogenes infection.
Expression of ListericinScer\UAS.cGa using Scer\GAL4Cg.PA significantly reduces L. monocytogenes bacterial loads in the hemolymph after infection compared to Avic\GFPScer\UAS.cUa, Scer\GAL4Cg.PA controls. The same is true for Gram-negative (E. coli and Ecc 15) bacterial infection, but not Gram-positive (S. aureus and S. saprophyticus) bacterial infection.
ListericinUAS.cGa/Scer\GAL4Cg.PA is a suppressor of abnormal immune response phenotype of PGRP-LE112
Expression of ListericinScer\UAS.cGa using Scer\GAL4Cg.PA restores the survival phenotype against L. monocytogenes infection in a PGRP-LE112 background.
