Third instar larval adipocytes expressing Msp300^HMS00368 under the control of Scer\GAL4^Cg.PA exhibit enlarged, mispositioned nuclei that have increased ploidy. Although the nucleus is still encircled by a microtubule network, this network is partially/completely detached from the nucleus.

Expressing Msp300^HMS00368 under the control of Scer\GAL4^Cg.PA leads to fragmented and clustered mitochondria in the third instar larval fat body (as assessed by MitoGFP).
